What it solves
Interrupted downloads, crashed scanners and buggy exporters leave PDFs with broken cross-reference tables or missing tails that viewers refuse to open. This tool has qpdf rebuild the file's structure in your browser and then reports plainly how many pages could be recovered. A file that opens fine gets an honest notice that there is nothing to repair, and a file that is too far gone is declared unrepairable instead of being turned into garbage.
Repair fixes structure, not content: pages whose data was never written cannot be conjured back.

Unlock only removes protection when you provide the correct password. It cannot crack, bypass or recover a password you do not know.
If you protect a file and later lose the password, this tool cannot restore access. Store the password somewhere safe.
Some damaged files are beyond repair. When that happens, the tool says so instead of exporting a garbled document.
Very large files are limited by the memory this device can spend on a browser tab.
